We continuously age. From one second to the next, we're getting older. We can't halt it, we can't truly reverse it. Can you think of anything or anyone that is truly immortal? Even the universe ages.

Think of how much you have changed in the past ten years. Such differences I'm sure! Where did that person go? What happened to the way that person thought and acted? Did you like yourself more then or now? Do you find you want to be that person again, but, knowing it's impossible, become melancholy?

But how did it happen? Oh, we know that changes happen over time and one thing leads to another in our lives, but it's harder to see it when you think back on your life literally day by day. Such seemingly small daily changes eventually lead to a whole different world for you! It happens so slowly, and yet, too quickly.

How will you have aged in the next five or ten years? Will you do what it takes now to achieve certain goals by that time?

Do you wish you were immortal? So do I.

Sometimes years pass so quickly. Maybe you feel like you didn't accomplish enough in the past year. Now that year is gone and can never be recaptured. You may not think on it too much. It seems a small thing, but do think about it.... How do you truly feel about that wasted year? It doesn't have to be last year, it can be any period of your life that wasn't lived as you would like to have lived it.

Still seems a small thing? That's ok, youth is carefree. As they say, "youth is lost on the young."

I just don't want to have lived half my life before I realize that I haven't done half the things I want to do. I want to live for the moment and plan ahead.
